1. What is the main philosophy behind the Raelian movement?

The Raelian philosophy offers another perspective on how life started on Earth and on the purpose of this life: Thousands of years ago, scientists from another planet came to Earth and created all forms of life, including human beings, whom they created in their own image. References to these scientists and their work can be found in the ancient texts of many cultures. [The] Hindu pantheon is a perfect illustration. Due to their highly advanced technology, they were considered gods by our primitive ancestors and referred to as “Elohim” in ancient Hebrew, which means “those who came from the sky.”

According to Raelian understanding, [the Elohim] educated humans throughout the ages with the help of various messengers – also called prophets – with whom they had made contact. Each messenger was given a message suitable for the level of understanding prevailing at the time, with the primary purpose of instilling the basic principles of non-violence and respect. Once humanity reached a sufficient level of scientific understanding, they decided to make themselves more visible through UFO sightings. Maitreya Rael, founder of the Raelian Movement, was contacted by them in 1973 and given two missions: to inform humanity about its origin and to prepare an embassy (by 2035) to welcome the return of our creators.

2. Where do Raelians believe that the human race is headed?

The human race has the potential to either make this earth a paradise or destroy it. The bombing of Hiroshima was the beginning of a new age for humanity; an age where we reached a level of science that could lead us in either direction. This is why August 6th was chosen as the Raelian New Year so that we always remember that humanity’s level of science must be balanced with a matching level of consciousness.

3. How often do Raelians have contact with the Elohim and do they believe that UFO sightings are related to these creators?

The Elohim explained in their message that they will help our mission of information and awareness by appearing more and more often. Despite governments’ cover-ups, we have millions of reports of such sightings and Maitreya Rael announced in a recent declaration that more sightings will be seen in China.

4. How would the Elohim look like to us?

They created us in their image. Maitreya Rael explained that if they were walking on the streets of Tokyo, no one would notice them, as they bear similarities in their facial features and statureas people from Japan.

5. How many members does the movement have worldwide and where are mostly concentrated?

The International Raelian Movement now counts more than 80 000 members. The largest communities are in Japan, Canada and France, but it is now implanted in 98 countries and issteadily growing, especially in China where we receive more than 1 000 requests a day, probably thanks to the numerous sightings there.

6. What is the main role of Maitreya Rael?

Maitreya Rael is the leader of the International Movement and as such gives direction to this unique organization where all members donate their time for free, like he does. His guidanceis mainly philosophical. In order to lead this planet towards a peaceful paradise, a drastic change in mentality, behaviour and level of love is needed and this is what he teaches every day.

As with all the previous prophets, he isn’t on earth to please everyone, but to state what our creators are expecting from us. This is what Rael has been doing for more than 35 years now.

7. Please explain the significance of the Raelian symbol.

The Raelian symbol comprises of two intertwined symbols and represents the infinity of time and space.

The Star of David represents infinite space. The swastika in the centre represents infinite time.

This symbol can be found in very old scriptures like the Bardo Thodol – the “Tibetan book of death” – in some Buddhist temples and some synagogues in Israel. It is the symbol theElohim gave to all prophets and has been lost or transformed over time, but for Raelians, it is a symbol we all wear proudly as a reminder of the Elohim’s teachings.
